Haha. A surprise that went absolutely wrong!
In the end we had to rely on your GPS to find the place. haha sigh.

Well i'm so glad we're able to meet up in the end and catch up like we used to.
well though jazz@southbridge really was quite bad and we ended up paying quite a bit for the fish and chips and ur cosmopolitan haha,
but i'm just happy that we can even have a meal!

Afterthoughts

Its a few days after church camp and i'm still having quite alot of thoughts about life...

I'm reminded once again that as a Christian, my life's journey will definitely be tough, full of ups and downs - yet i truly believe that everything I go through will definitely be worth it. The road to discipleship brings about hope, as well as uncertainty.

We can concentrate on what is not happening in our lives and become weighed down with a sense of failure.
We can become so focussed on the future that we neglect the present.
We can also on the other hand become so determined to get things right now that we lose sight of what will one day be.

Hence we need a balance! all this while trusting in the power of the Holy Spirit to change us.

Vocal opportunity

Was on the way back from city hall yest and was thinking quite abit about my future and stuff, about how can i work on the gifts God have given me and whether i'd be able to do well or even pursue it professionally next time - then while browsing thru various websites, i was led to the soft forum.

I wonder whether is it God speaking or an answered prayer?

I went to verve this morning to sign up and the lady at the counter says in order for me to be a participant(not just an observer) in the course, i need an audition! (walao so serious!)

ok i figured - she's so famous and she coached holywood artistes before... so they really want serious people in her workshop!

And the first slot in her workshop is already full house. Wah I signed up as an observer first for the second slot.

Haha the lady says someone will audition me this friday and asked me to prepare a song.
Sigh i hate auditions - though most of the time i scrape through, i just dun like the process of it all. And i've got to be careful in my song selection!

I really want to be a participant in her workshop! This might mean something significant in my life - opening new doors maybe? I hope! pls pray for me!

NUS

haha no lah i didn't go there today.
finally got the chance to play tennis with jansen!

its been so long really - the last time i last met up with him.
had a good game with him :) after which we went to grab a bite and chatted for awhile.

found out that he's in the unit as andre! what a coincidence.
glad that he's enjoying himself at NUS too doing pharmacy.
press on bro. i'm sure you can do better in your upcoming sems!

SMU

Went out with andre today and he brought me around SMU to have a look at his school! (even though it was illegal haha)

time really flies. 1 year back he was still deciding whether to go for his interview or remain in EEE.
i'm glad he chose business IT. Although we thought we would be roomates back then in NTU, i'm glad he made this choice - to pursue the things he really likes doing.

even though its really tough out there at SMU where competition is so crazy, i believe with God's help he'll make it! like he always does... :) in fact God has already really blessed him with good results. dean's list! praise God! - haha i can't never be as IT savvy as compared to him. looks also. heh.

Well. nevertheless we enjoyed ourselves (i think i did more than he did since it was more of an eye-opener for me). Was thinking if i were in SMU things would be totally different from now. Hah. I'd be a different person altogether man. Though i think i'd never be able to fit in with the well-dressed people and in-people. Probably feel inferior most of the time! haha. Well anyway i'm content of where I am right now so i'm still very happy hah.

crazy. ate at astons today again. its like the 5th time i'm eating at astons in like 1 month and 2nd time in 2 days! siao! can memorize the menu already.
thankfully i received my pay today. hah. so not so bad. heh
